Forum: Sell my Stuff ]]> http://stephensko.websitetoolbox.com/post?id=5125389 Sun, 06 Mar 2011 16:45:35 GMT http://stephensko.websitetoolbox.com/post?id=4945288 FRISCO, TX – The Frisco Police Department is seeking information regarding an aggravated robbery that occurred around 9:20 p.m. at Stonebriar Mall, 2601 Preston Road, on October 14, 2010.  On that date, a Hispanic male described as being in his mid-twenties, approximately 5’07” tall, weighing approximately 150 lbs, with short dark hair robbed a victim at gunpoint of her vehicle.  The victim’s vehicle is a white 2005 Acura TSX four-door sedan with Texas license plate JRB 820. 

Frisco detectives are still searching for the suspect and victim’s vehicle.  The suspect has been seen making several purchases at gas stations in Dallas and The Colony using the victim’s credit card.  Surveillance camera images of the suspect are attached to this press release.

Individuals with information about the suspect or vehicle are asked to contact the Frisco Police Department‘s Criminal Investigations Division at 972.292.6200.  The suspect in this case is to be considered armed and dangerous.

UNIDENTIFIED DECEASED CHILD     

 On Thursday, April 15, 2010 at approximately 9:10A.M. Wylie Police Department responded to a dead body in the 1900 blk of Skyview Drive.  The Collin County Medical Examiner was able to establish the victim was a white male child approximately 6 years of age, brown hair, brown eyes, approximately 39" tall and approximately 28lbs.  It appears the child had significant medical needs.  The child shows signs of being fed through a feeding tube.  The Collin County Child Abuse Task Force is asking that any persons with information about the identity of this child, specifically In-Home health care providers, school personnel, day care personnel or community based social services to contact:

Frisco, Texas (March 3, 2010) – Frisco Square announced that exhibitors are coming from fourteen states and as far away as Michigan to participate in Arts in the Square this weekend at Frisco Square.

Arts in the Square features more than 100 artists, entertainment headlined by The Romantics, bands from the School of Rock as well as others, local performers and a kids area including Frisco’s own Abrakadoodle and Bounce for Fun.  Storytellers, face painters and dancers from NextStep Performing Arts will all perform.  Arts in the Square happens this Saturday from 10AM to 6PM and this Sunday from 11AM to 6PM at Frisco Square. If you are wondering what P-WHAT stands for, you are not alone.  P-WHAT is a catch phrase that can be overheard when discussing the unique new business arriving in Frisco, Texas. The acronym stands for Painting with a Twist, a new concept that showcases artistic painting as entertainment.

A place where people can get away from it all…….. for 2 or 3 hours, they can trade everyday stressors for creativity, camaraderie and relaxation.”  Painting with a Twist provides a pleasurable, innovative environment, where anyone can experience firsthand the excitement of creating their own work of art by allowing you to follow a local artist as she guides you through a step-by-step process of recreating a featured picture. Following the instructor each step of the way allows each person the ability to create a one-of-a-kind masterpiece that can be taken home at the end of the evening.

The “Painting” part of the name has been covered. It comes from creating your own masterpiece while following the instructions of a local artist. Paints, canvas, brushes and apron are provided. As for the “Twist” part of the equation, attendees are encouraged to bring along a bottle of wine or favorite beverage, as well as snacks. Ice buckets, cork screws and glasses are readily on hand.

Opening January 9th, Painting with a Twist will successfully bring color to a sometimes dreary world. Not only will one leave with a unique piece of art, but with a sense of accomplishment and pride as well.

Arts in the Square benefits the Frisco Association for the Arts.

The serigraph is displayed daily at Frisco Square Development (8874 Coleman Blvd., Frisco, TX 75034) through March 4. Bids may be submitted via e-mail to bshaver@friscosquare.com until 6:00PM on Thursday, March 4. The piece will be presented to the successful bidder at a Collectors Preview and VIP party at 7PM on March 5 at NextStep Dance Performance Center, 6106 Frisco Square Blvd., Frisco, TX 75034.

With Lucio Fontana and Roberto Crippa,  Gianni Dova was one of the protagonists (1947-1951) of the Italian "Movimento Spaziale" (Special Movement). From the time of his first personal exhibition, at the "Cavallino" of Venice (1946), to the one held at the "Museo Dalliera" in Paris (1972), and through his passing in 1991 in Pisa, Italy, he produced a continuous series of new works and achieved successes in the world's most important capital cities (Stockholm, Madrid, London, Paris, Tokyo, New York, Berlin, Amsterdam, Buenos Aires, Belgrade, Lima, etc.). Among the numerous prizes he won are the first prize at the "Exposition des Jeunes Peintres Internationaux" of Rome, Paris and Brussells (1955); the first selection at the Biennale of San Paolo in Brazil (1957); the first prize at the "Premio Bergamo" and the Paris prize at the Quadriennale of Rome, both in 1959.

The Romantics to Headline Arts in the Square

Frisco, Texas (February 2, 2010) - Frisco Square announced that The Romantics (“What I Like About You”) will headline the entertainment at the upcoming Arts in the Square event on March 6 & 7 at Frisco Square.  Their performance is schedule for 4:00PM on Saturday, March 6.

The Romantics is an American rock band from Detroit, Michigan. The band adopted the name "The Romantics" because they formed on Valentine's Day! "What I Like About You" was used in the 1980s, when its placement in television commercials and other high profile media made it an evergreen power pop anthem. The band is also well known for its flashy and audacious fashion sense. A special guest, Clem Burke, the drummer from Blondie, will join The Romantics for the Arts in the Square performance.

Frisco Square Announces F.A.A. Participants

Frisco, Texas (February 23, 2010) – Frisco Square announced the names of the Frisco Association for the Arts members that will participate or perform during the upcoming Arts in the Square event.

“We are delighted to host Chamberlain Performing Arts, the Visual Arts Guild of Frisco, Word of Mouth Productions, the Frisco Storytelling Festival and the Frisco Public Art Program at our first Arts in the Square event”, said Paige Scheer, the event organizer.  Representatives of the Frisco Association for the Arts will be on hand during the event.
